Mormons and Drugs: The Podcast takes a broad spectrum analysis of the entirety of Mormon history, but through a unique multidisciplinary approach of magic, ethnobotany, and human pharmacology. Properly equipped with the appropriate esoteric toolkit, it then becomes blatantly apparent that Joseph Smith recognized and implemented psychedelic plants into his spiritual and magical practices.

Listeners will be introduced to the pertinent scientific research in regards to chemically induced mystical experiences and their plant-based catalysts. Cody will connect the psychedelic ceremonies of antiquity to the contemporary herbals and grimoires employed by Joseph Smith, which historians have already established influenced the birth of Mormonism. Combined with a score of first-hand accounts from credible church hierarchy, most notably from the Mormon founders themselves, Mormons and Drugs provides a nuanced, and often sardonic or demented, interpretation of Mormon history. Moth Doula on the other hand, will provide relatable circumstances most often drawn from Tolkien. Hope you like Lord of the Rings!
